Rules on Archery:

Key terms

Waiting line: It is designated for archers to wait behind it until their turn.

Shooting line: It’s the line were archers position themselves to shoot their bows.

Target line: It’s a 3-4 feet line that is used as a speed bump for younger people and beginners.  

 

Whistle rules

One whistle blast: Archers can Shoot

Two whistle blasts: Get bows prepare and start shooting

Three whistle blast: go get the arrows from the target

Four or more: stop shooting

 

Basic Equipment

Armguard: It protects the arm from being hit by the bowstring.

 

Arrow: It's approximately 9.3 millimetres of diameter.

 

Bow: It consists of two extremities and a riser.

 

Chestguard: It is a plastic or leather placed on the chest, to protect the body from any injury the bowstring could make.

 

Finger tab or shooting glove: They are used to protect the fingers and hands when the arrow is released.

 

Quiver: It´s is used to hold the arrows and normally it is worn around the waist by the archers.
